We began specializing in water damage restoration in 2006 and officially established Xtreme Drying in 2009.

The cost of restoration varies significantly based on the extent of the damage, but it’s often covered by your homeowner’s insurance policy.

We work alongside your insurance company to create inventory and photo documentation of the damages that occurred from the leak or flood. By capturing these photos during our emergency response, we can update your insurance daily to eliminate miscommunications for all parties involved.

Sudden incidents like burst pipes or appliance malfunctions are generally covered by insurance because they’re unexpected. The same goes for roof leaks due to storms that result in interior water damage. However, damage due to neglected repairs or poor maintenance might not be covered. It’s important to address water damage quickly to avoid complications.

Again, Depending on the severity. Typically, the dry out process is anywhere from 2-5 days but normally 3 days. The Repair process can be a few days or weeks, depending on ordering new floors, new cabinets etc. and insurance approval for repair cost.

Water Clean up will be a done in phases. First step is to extract and assess, meaning remove all standing water and evaluate the extent of the damages. Depending on what we find, it might be as simple as removing base boards and drilling access holes to set up fans and dehumidifiers to dry the walls. In other instances, we might have to remove flooring, drywall and maybe cabinetry then set up fans and dehumidifiers. This can take multiple days depending on what is needed.  The next phase will be to work with your adjuster and start the repair process. 

Be prepared to give a clear description of the damage, when it occurred, and which areas and contents are affected. Photos are helpful as well. Our team can assist with creating accurate documentation.

We can’t predict if your rates will increase, so we must refer you to your insurance agent. Just keep in mind that you need to make a decision quickly. Delaying action could lead to coverage being denied because insurance companies often require you to take immediate damage mitigation efforts to prevent the problem from escalating and leading to higher repair costs.

Depending on the severity of the damage, temporary relocation may be necessary, and you might be able to get it covered by insurance. Factors like the accessibility of essential rooms (kitchen, bathrooms) and safety hazards will be considered by your adjuster in their final determination.
